I went and saw my ultimate boss (the deputy director of my hospital) today and explained my situation. She was real nice and cool about it. And so all my worries melt away like lemon drops away above the chimney tops. ^___^

And I'll be earning extra pocket monies starting tomorrow,which is a really good thing because my family splurged extra last month,it being December and all. +___+

So,tomorrow is Winter Solstice Festival for us. Haha. Living in the equatorial climate is kinda hard on the imagination of a cold,snowy night sitting round the stove and eating glutinous rice balls. But I guess that doesn't stop us from getting into the spirit of things. We have homemade tang yuan every year and this year is no different. We make these glutinous rice balls one night in advance and tomorrow it goes into a pot of boiling syrup. Every year my brother and I will be allocated specific batches of dough according to colours. He got the red tonight whilst I have the green. We have to knead this dough into small balls. Hahaha... every year we try to sabotage each other's batches by squishing each other's balls so they have to be re-made again. It's juvenile,I know but I <3 teasing the sibling.
